How do I add NearlyFreeSpeech.NET DNS to an existing domain?

In order to add NearlyFreeSpeech.NET DNS to an existing website, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Domains tab of our member interface.
  2. Find the line for the domain. If the domain isn't listed, you may need to use one of the actions in the Actions box on that tab to add it and then return to this step. You will need to choose either:
    • "Register a New Domain" if the domain is not already registered through another provider, or
    • "Use an Existing Domain" to add the domain to our interface if it's already registered elsewhere.
  3. On the line for the domain, find the "DNS" column.
  4. Use the "Add" button in the DNS column for the domain to add DNS service. (If it says "Manage" instead of "Add," you already have our DNS service for the domain.)
  5. Decide how you want email handled for this domain by choosing the appropriate selection.
  6. If the domain is registered through us, you will have the option to update its name servers, which you should use. If the domain is registered elsewhere, you will need to update its name servers at your domain registrar later. (See how to find your name servers after you have added DNS.)
